Game Guide

What to know before you step into Arkhon: races, classes, maps and the core systems of the game.

The game is in development; the information on this page may change during beta.

Choose your race

Arkhon has three races: Human, Orc and Elf. Your race decides your look, your castle and your side in war.

Every race can pick the same five classes, and a class is equally strong in every race: an Orc Warrior and an Elf Warrior have the same stats and skills. Pick the look you like and the side your friends are on.

Five classes

  • Warrior: The shield of the front line. Heavy armour, two-handed weapons and great endurance up close.
  • Assassin: Speed and critical hits. Sudden, devastating strikes with daggers.
  • Archer: Master of ranged combat. Steady damage from a safe distance with a bow.
  • Mage: Fire, ice and lightning. Heavy magic damage over wide areas.
  • Priest: The lifeline of the party. Healing, protection and empowering spells.

World and maps

Your adventure starts in Arkent, home of the three race castles and the great market in the middle. Arkent is the shared area for levels 1-40; the farther you go from the castles, the stronger the monsters.

From level 40 each race gets its own lands: Gorak and Karzor for Orcs, Valen and Doran for Humans, Lorin and Elora for Elves (levels 40-60 and 60-80). The war maps where all three races meet are WarLand (40-60) and Warkon (60-80).

War and War Points

The war maps offer more experience and better loot, but players of the other races are there too. Defeating enemy players earns War Points for your race, shared with everyone in your party.

Item classes and upgrades

Items come in four classes: Low (green), Middle (blue), High (purple) and Unique (yellow), shown by the colour of the item name and its tooltip.

Upgrade weapons and armour up to +10 at the Mystic Anvil in the market, using an upgrade scroll of the item's class. The first levels are easy; the higher you go, the lower the chance, and a failed attempt can destroy the item, so take your time with valuable gear.

Highly upgraded items begin to shine; a +10 weapon stands out from far away.

Party, clan and trade

  • Party: Up to 8 players. Experience is shared and loot goes round in turn.
  • Clan: Up to 40 members. Your clan's name shows above your character.
  • Trade: Two players press Trade and swap items or gold.
  • Market stall: Open your own stall to sell items or post buy offers.

First steps

  • Follow the quest givers: quests around your castle lead you to monsters of your level.
  • Click the chest icon next to a monster's name to see what it drops.
  • If you die you return in front of your castle, losing some experience of your current level.
  • Stuck somewhere? Read the guides on the forum or open a support ticket.
